SOME FACILITIES IN NURSING DIPLOMA PROGRAM


  1. Academic Facility
    In academic process, Diploma III Program of Nursing has 6 classes which are completed by multimedia such as LCD Projector and Sound System. It is also supported by cold and comfortable environment. To support the academic athmosphere, campus environment is completed by hotspot area, laboratory, and library. Those facilities make students are comfortable to stay at campus. Good academic athmosphere support students's self-development in academic or even non academic achievement.

  2. Nursing Laboratory 
    Nursing Laboratory facilities consists of 7 main rooms, they are :
  • The Laboratory of Basic Nursing, Medical Surgery, and Emergency Nursing
The Laboratory of Basic Nursing, Medical Surgery, and Emergency Nursing are located at 2nd floor. Those facilities describe the setting of UGD, ICU, and hospitalized room. Those are also completed by waiting room, receptionist desk, nursing station, and appliance cupboard for invasive action. Besides, it is also completed by explanatory room which are used for classical teaching and learning process on simulation and demonstartion method. The practicum in Basic Nursing, Medical Surgery, and Emergency Nursing Laboratory are used to have a practice on the course of Human Basic Need, Medical Surgery, Critical Condition Care, and Emergency Nursing.

  • Child Nursing Laboratory
Child Nursing Laboratory is completed with admission room/action room which describes Poli Children, Observation /PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), hospitalized room, receptionist desk, Nursing Station, and also completed by its toys. Praticum conducted in the Laboratory of Child Nursing is used to practice some skill in the Course of Child Nursing. Some skills given to Child Nursing Course are :
Doing several immunizazion techniques such as BCG, DPT, Polio, and Measles.
Fixing the infusion
Checking up Hb level (Sahli Hb)
Giving blood transfusion
Fixing up the NSV / NGT
Fixing the catheterization
Giving warm and cold compress
Doing the injection (im, iv, sc, ic)
Doing the lavement
Observing vital sign
Doing the Suction
Giving oxygen help
Doing the Resuscitation
Doing Chest Physiotherapy
Doing mouth cleaning
Doing Darm Anesthesia
Doing Irrigation and Colostomy Care
Making some fuilds for children

  • Maternity Nursing Laboratory
Maternity Nursing Laboratory includes Pre Natal room that is used to check up the pregnancy or some related activities to ANC (Ante Natal Care). Natal room is used to help  childbirth along with to care a recent birth baby. While, Post Natal room is used to hopitalized a mother who just deliver a baby. Those rooms are completed with receptionist desk, nursing station, and lactation room along with the conceling room. Practicum conducted in the Laboratory of Maternity Nursing is an activity done to practice the skill in Maternity Nursing Course. Some skills given to Maternity Nursing Course are :
- Checking up the Pregnancy
- Physiological Childbirth Aid
Taking Care of Expectant Mom's Breast and Post Partum
- Checking up the level of Hb (Hb Sahli)
- Doing Chilbed and Pregnant Gymnastic
- Fixing up the Infusion and Doing Blood Transfusion
- Taking Care of Recent-Delivered Baby
- Taking Care of Hurt Post Injury
- Conducting Vulva Hygiene
- Giving the Injection
- Lifting the post operation wound stitch
- Fixing up the catheter
- Taking care of pre and post operation
- To prepare patient who would do the radium
 
  • Phyche Nursing Laboratory
Phyche Nursing Laboratory consists of one checkup room which is also used for hospitalized room, group activity therapy (TAK) along with its complete tool. Another one is discussion room which is used for patient rehabilitiation. That room is also equipped with receptionist desk, nursing station, and  some occupational therapy such as; music, sport, and some other activities. Practicum which is conducted in the Laboratory of Phyche Nursing is to practice some skill of Phyche Nursing Course. Some skills given in the Phyche Nursing Laboratory are :

To plan the operating strategy and the introdoctory report
To do Group Activity Therapy
To care about patient who will be done the ECT
To do therapeautic communication
To do the fixation on mental disorder patient

  • Community Nursing Laboratory
Community Nusing Laboratory describes Mini Clinics which consists of waiting room, locket, action room/medical office, illumination room completed with its supporting tool, and discussion room. Furthermore, it also equipped by  mini health care center for mother and baby. In addition, it is also equipped by 5 desks, those are : registration, weighing, immunization, action, and conceling desk. Practicum conducted on the Laboratory of Community Nursing is to practice the skill in the Health Education, Community Nursing, Family Nursing, and Gerontik Nursing Course. Some skills given in Health Education Course are :

  • Growth Laboratory
Children cannot be separated by a mean of playing and working. For them, playing and working are their method to know the whole word. Playing is not the matter of spending time but it represents that children need playing as like as a meal, care, and love, etc. Children need various playing for their physical and mental health along with their emotional growth. When children play,  they use their emotion, feeling, and thought. Students are hoped to be able to do the checkup or even early detection on child's growth by the approach of playing. So that, it could be the indication to give important stimulation on child's growth.
The purpose of scoring on the growth analysis through playing are :
• To know child's growth differences and any risk of it.
• To know some problems that need medical treatment or even genetical conceling.
• To know when do children should be reconciled to the higher service.
The objective of child's growth checkup are :
• To assess the growth. It can be done to children in the age of 1 up to 6 month.
• To facilitate a means of playing. It has been provided by some palying tool fit to child's growth in every level of age.
• As a tool of early growth detection. The method used are: DENVER III / DDST (Denver Development Skrinning Test).
The Checkup Step
Before assessing the child growth, the action will be conducted are :
1. To do the Interview / anamnesa (It is better to be conducted by family or supervisor)
2. To evaluate child environment
3. To evaluate child's vision and hearing
4. To evaluate child's sense of talk and his language
5. To conduct physical checkup
6. To do Skrinning/Child Growth Early Detection

In addition, Some other Nursing Laboratories are :
1. Anatomy Laboratory which is equipped by Cadaver.
2. Patology Laboratory.
3. Microbiology and Parasitology Laboratory.
4. Biology, Physic, and Chemical Laboratory.
5. Computer and Internet Laboratory.

3. Supporting Facility
Some supporting facilities for sport are: basket ball, soccer ball, volly ball, etc. It is also supported by student activity unit (UKM) in the field of art, sport, raesoning, and welfare.
